Layarnya 3,5 inc beresolusi 800×480 WVGA touch screen. Menggunakan Prosesor ARM’s Cortex-A8 600Mhz dengan memory 1 Gb dan kapasitas memory penyimpan sebesar 32 Gb. Untuk browser didukung oleh teknoogi Modzilla dan Adobe Flash 9.4
Apabila membandingkan Nokia N97 vs Nokia N900, meskipun keduanya N Series, tetapi N900 disiapkan untuk segmentasi yang berbeda. Maka secara umum keunggulan teknologinya tidak relevan dianggap sebagai keunggulan N900. Sementara target pasar Nokia N900 juga merupakan segmentasi baru yang masih akan terus tumbuh secara paralel dengan perkembangan produk-produk lanjutan dari N900.
