Nokia N97 yang dioperasikan dengan sistem Symbian S60 versi 5 ini selain didisain menggunakan layar sentuh dan keyboard Qwerty, juga dilengkapi dengan banyak fasilitas untuk memberikan kenyamanan secara optimal kepada penggunanya.
Tetapi momentum penting yang perlu dicatat terkait dengan kompetisi N97 Vs Iphone 3G ini adalah Nokia N97 telah mengawali dimasukinya era memori internal 32 GB dan kamera 5 MP sebagai salah satu standar dan kriteria bagi smart phone. Sehingga untuk selanjutnya, bukan hanya Iphone, tetapi setiap smart phone dari merk lainnya juga harus mempergunakan standar dan kriteria tersebut.
