Nokia N97 Mini Untuk Tampil Lebih Anggun
Nokia N97 Mini memberikan nilai lebih pada konsumen wanita. Karena bentuknya yang lebih pendek dibandingkan Nokia N97 maka terasa lebih nyaman bila digenggam tangan wanita, dan tak perlu khawatir akan mudah terlepas. Penampilan Nokia N97 Mini secara keseluruhan juga mengesankan lebih anggun terutama jika kita memilih warna cherry black.
Selain itu bobot Nokia dalam versi kecil juga lebih ringan 12 gram. Tetapi waktu bicara dan waktu siaganya lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan Nokia N97. Hanya ini yang agak “mengganggu” para wanita, karena biasanya lebih banyak bicara dibandingkan dengan pria.
Jika Nokia N97 versi biasa memiliki waktu bicara 570 menit (GSM) dan 360 menit (WCDMA), maka untuk versi Mini hanya memiliki waktu bicara 430 menit (GSM) dan 240 menit (WCDMA),
Bandingkan pula waktu siaga Nokia N97 Mini yang hanya 320 menit (GSM) dan 310 menit (WCDMA), sementara pada versi biasa 430 menit (GSM) dan 400 menit (WCDMA).
Tetapi terdapat keunggulan lain sebagai dampak dari bentuknya yang diperkecil, yakni terletak pada layarnya. Nokia N97 menggunakan layar berukuran 35” dengan resolusi 16 juta warna. Pada versi Mini layarnya diperkecil menjadi 32” dengan resolusi yang sama. Penyusutan luas layar itu mengakibatkan tampilan gambar diatas layar Nokia Mini ini menjadi terkompresi, efeknya menimbulkan tampilan gambar yang lebih jernih dan tajam.
Untuk pemakaian kamera dan videonya tak terdapat perbedaan, karena versi mini ini menggunakan kamera milik Nokia N97 yang berlensa Carl Zeiss dan berkapasitas 5 Mpix. Begitu pula fitur-fitur lainnya, perangkat yang digunakan Nokia versi kecil ini tidak berbeda dengan milik Nokia N97. Dari melakukan browshing, pengiriman pesan berupa SMS dan MMS sampai dengan memutar musik dan mendengarkan radio.
Nokia N97 Mini dirilis dengan misi menciptakan trend baru di pasar selular, khususnya segmentasi wanita. Reaksinya, kehadiran Nokia Mini disusul oleh kompetitor beratnya LG juga memodifikasi GD 880 dalam bentuk kecil. Belum genap sebulan disusul lagi oleh Sonny Ericsson. Perusahaan patungan Swedia-Jepang itu tiba-tiba juga merilis Xperia X10 dalam versi mini.
